What To Expect

Meerlust Wine Estate
This 18th Century Vineyard has been in the Myburgh family since 1756 and is recognized the world over for its award winning wines. Only 5 Km from the ocean with its historical Cape Dutch architecture homestead and outbuildings, we take a step back in time in their tasting room filled with history and stories to taste their famous "Rubicon" Bordeaux blend among other varietals of red wine. Meerlust was the first vineyard in South Africa to produce a Bordeux Blend in South Africa.
Because of its unique position close to the ocean, cool sea breezes and evening mists allow for the production of wines with complexity and full concentrated flavours
