Overview

1 Paragliding, Enjoy Cape Town from an elevated angle.

2 Robben Island, Long walk to freedom

In 1964, an anti-apartheid revolutionary named Nelson Mandela was arrested and brought to South Africa’s Robben Island, just west of Cape Town. He would spend the next 18 years imprisoned in an 8x7-foot cell, forced to do hard labor, and permitted only one visitor a year. Even so, Mandela went on to become his country’s first black president, a Nobel Peace Prize recipient, and known globally for his significant contributions to human rights and social justice.

3 Wine Tour.

South Africa's "winelands," as they're known, are among the most beautiful wine-producing regions in the world. Dramatic landscapes marked by mountains that jut up seemingly out of nowhere, rugged coastlines, and world-class hospitality have made this country a must-visit destination for wine lovers.

And while it's often categorized as a New World wine country, South Africa's vineyards have been thriving for centuries.

Signal Hill
In Cape Town, we paraglide mainly from Lion's Head and Signal Hill. The paragliding launch site we use depends on the wind direction at the time. Sometimes we start flying from Signal Hill and then move across to Lion's Head as the wind changes throughout the day.
