Overview

This is a very informative and enjoyable tour. There is a lot of sightseeing and history which is attached to this tour. There is interesting bird and plant life and amazing wild life.

This tour takes the travelers through several blue flag beaches, interesting photo stops and fun along the way. Not to mention the food and colonial Dutch architecture. Travelers are also taken to one of the very few places in the world which has been declared to have the freshest air.

There is amazing art and craft along the way and valuable ostrich products. Not to mention several sites for ship wrecks and hiking trails. There are tidal pools and much more.

Travelers will see one of the ten blue flag beaches in Cape Town. Beaches are divided from number 1 to 4. They will drive past some of the most expensive residential properties in South Africa.

Camps Bay
The most popular beach in Cape Town. It has trendy coffee shops, restaurants and bars. Nestled in the heart of expensive residential areas. With the amazing backdrop of The Twelve Apostles.

Travelers will stop for an amazing photo shoot in an area where several movies have been shot.

Hout Bay
This is a harbour town surrounded by the green mountains and the ocean on the other side. Drive to the harbour where there is art and craft market.

There you can also see many fishing boats as this is home to the biggest fishing industry in Cape Town. At the harbour you can occasionally encounter seals which are attracted out of water so tourists can take photos for a little payment.

Lookout for the fresh fish delivery at the fish factory there by the harbour, you can also buy fresh fish if interested.

Seal Island
Take an optional boat ride to Seal Island which is home to approximately 70 000 Cape Fur Seals. Beside the seals there is also 24 different bird species among which are some 200 kelp gulls and small groups of Cape and White-breasted Cormorants.

Chapman's Peak Drive
This is an almost 10km scenic drive which leaves you in awe as you drive through the 114 curves chiseled out of the mountain side.

Stop on several photo stops where you can breath in the fresh air while you take amazing photos from countless backgrounds. This is also home to several commercials which highlights the extend of the beauty it offers.

Noordhoek Farm Village
Grab a delicious coffee at this village which is home to the Cape's best bakery, hand crafted ice cream, a super cute juice bar and a country pub.
There is also a wide range of shops and more and live music is available weekly.

Simon's Town
Drive through this village which is the oldest settlement in South Africa. Lookout for the attractive colonial Cape Dutch architecture properties along the main road which have been declared a national heritage.

You cannot miss the war ships which confirms that this town is home to the SA Navy. Also on the harbour are fishing boats. In the town you cannot miss some of the Museums and the statue of Able Seaman Just Nuisance. A Great Dane who remains the only dog ever to be officially listed in the services of the British Royal Navy.

Along the main road are several restaurants which serves a wide range of South African dishes from stakes to seafood. This is were we have lunch.

Boulders Beach Penguin Colony
Visit this ever popular colony which is probably the most popular attraction in Simon's Town. Come face to face with the African penguin whose numbers have risen to almost 3 000 since 1992 when it all started as a couple.

At Foxy beach take a walk on the wooden boardwalk to come within arms length of these flightless birds. Learn a lot about these adorable birds from the wooden small frames nailed on the wooden boardwalk.

Using the same ticket you can opt (time permitting) to visit the Boulders beach were there is white soft sand and huge boulders which protect the beach from the wind. There is a high probability you can encounter the rock rabbit popularly known as the Dassie.

Cape of Good Hope
Explore this ever popular rocky headland on the Atlantic coast of the Cape Peninsula in South Africa. This is the meeting point of the two currents of the two oceans, the warm water Agulhas current meet the cold water Benguela current.

This is also a major attraction because of the rich bird, and plant species. There are a few wild animals though with the most popular being the Chackma baboon. There is a lot of history attached to this place since the rounding of the southern tip of Africa by the Portuguese Sailors namely Bartolomeu Diaz and Vasco Da Gama.

Old Cape Point Lighthouse
Take a funicular to the lighthouse or preferably a healthy walk to the lighthouse. Get to the lighthouse which was built in 1857 but is no longer serving the purpose for which it was built as most of the time it is covered under thick fog.

There are several lookout points where from you can take amazing photos of the bay with its towering stone cliffs, endemic fynbos, breathtaking bays and an array of rolling green hills.
