What To Expect

Bo-Kaap
On our first stop we will explore Bokaap, one of the most history filled and creative side of Cape Town. This area is comprised of distinctive multi-coloured houses that are a mix of Cape Dutch and Georgian architecture along steeply cobbled roads. The choice of colour is believed to be attributed to the fact that while on lease, all the houses had to be white. When this rule was eventually lifted, and the Malay born slaves of the Cape were allowed to buy the properties, all the houses were painted bright colours by their owners as an expression of their freedom. There are many families in the Bo-Kaap that have been living there for generations. Today the Bo-Kaap community is a significant part of our cultural heritage and a photographer's dream to get beautiful photos of colour, architecture, culture and fun.

Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden
The Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens rest at the slopes of the majestic Table Mountain mostly made up of indigenous South African plants. On our visit we will walk along the paths towards the popular Boomslang, a canopy walkway which overlooks the gardens.

Boulders Beach Penguin Colony
We visit one of the few places in the world where you can experience penguins in the wild, freely sunbathing, swimming and hunting for fish. The Boulder’s Beach Penguin Colony beach is the home of over 2,000 endangered African penguins, and one of the few mainland penguin colonies in the world which allows visitors to get up close and personal with these cute and well-dressed birds who waddle on the beach but swim like champions in the water. Definitely one of the top attractions of Cape Town.
