Seals, penguins and spectacular natural settings for walking, hiking or cycling

Full day private tour (7-8 hours) with a registered driver/guide. Cost of activities mentioned in this tour are not included in the price of the tour - please see includes/excludes.

The Cape Peninsula is spectacular! Chapman's Peak Drive winds its way between Hout Bay and Noordhoek. We visit places of interest en route, such as the Constantia Valley, which is home to the Oldest Wine Farm in South Africa - renowned for its excellent wines.

The price of my tours represents my standard rate for guiding/driving a full/half day private tour.

• Guide: Registered driver/guide with relevant credentials + legal documentation

• Passenger and public liability, and permits.

• Transfers: Pickup from & return to an agreed place in Cape Town at your convenience.

• Transport: Comfortable, an air-conditioned vehicle, fuel, toll fees, parking.

• Vehicle - Hyundai station-wagon, air-conditioned, new 8-seater (max 6 passengers)

• Water: Water on board of vehicle at all times

Scenic drive - via Clifton/CampsBay to Hout Bay - optional stops for photos, refreshments or relaxing at seaside restaurant, walk on the beach.

Hout Bay
Optional: Seal island ferry cruise / Hout Bay market

Ferry trip to Seal Island - seal colony - The ferry cruise allow you to see the seal colony from a safe distance. Duiker Island is an animal sanctuary, home to thousands of seals and many birds such as the Cape Cormorant, the Bank Cormorants, Black Back Gulls, Kelp Gulls and Hartlaub Gulls. It is illegal for humans to set foot on the island.

Visit the HoutBay Market - Visit a local craft market in Hout Bay harbour which sells an array of indigenous artefacts, including African curios, masks and beadwork. Spoil yourself by sampling the local cuisine.

Chapman's Peak Drive
One of the most spectacular marine drives in the world! Chapman's Peak Drive winds its way between Hout Bay and Noordhoek on the Atlantic Coast. The twists and curves in the road seem endless and it is a photographers dream. It is a paradise for motorists, sightseers, picnickers, runners, hikers and bikers.*when open.

Old Cape Point Lighthouse
Cape Point falls within the Good Hope section of Table Mountain National Park, and forms part of the Cape Floral Region, a World Heritage Site. The Cape Of Good Hope is reached by driving along the beautiful scenic False Bay route. Encounter more than 12000 species of flora, some indigenous wildlife, more than 250 bird species as well as breath-taking scenery. 

Funicular to lighthouse - Funicular ride to tip of Cape Point and walkabout at the Lighthouse. Enjoy an exhilarating walk 238 metres above the ocean to the top of Cape Point. From the lighthouse at the top of Cape Point, the southwestern tip of Africa, you can admire the most breathtaking panoramic views.

Cape Flora Region - World Heritage Biodiversity Site - One of the richest areas for plants in the world and is one of the world’s 18 biodiversity hotspots. Ongoing biological processes continue to evolve into this unique Fynbos biome.

Scratch Patch and Mineral World - Sit down in a carpet of gemstones and buy the ones you choose - Scratch Patch is a treasure trove for children and a lot of fun. For the adults, a variety of gemstone products in Mineral World are for sale. The stones are tumble-polished on location in Simon's Town in the biggest gemstone factory in the world that processes some 150 varieties of stones from all around the world.
