Muizenburg is famous for its rows brightly coloured Victorian beach changing huts.

being one of the best surfing and body-boarding spots on the Cape Peninsula thanks to consistent waves. Muizenburg is also a suitable beach to learn to surf as the waves are known for their consistency rather than their size.

The sleepy town of Muizenburg is still lined with the mansions of its Victorian glory days past and the beach has good facilities, a visitor centre, shops, restaurants and adventure and surf activity operators. It’s also a great beach for children, with warmer water that can reach a balmy 22 deg in summer and generally calm waters. The long beach is also well patrolled by lifeguards.
