Overview

What makes this tour unique it is a private excursion that can be customized as you like. However our suggestions is as follows: Early morning departure to enjoy the best morning light for this sightseeing tour down the Cape Peninsula to Cape Point Nature reserve. The circular route from Cape Town down to Cape Point nature reserve and back is approximately 180 kilometers. You’ll travel all along the coastal road of the peninsula known as the Atlantic seaboard with its sparkling white beaches. By mid morning we will reach the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and the tip of the Cape Peninsula. Enough time will be allowed for you to walk to the old light house. We will also go to the most South Western tip of Africa; mythical meeting place of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans; the Cape of Good Hope. Our way back to Cape Town we will be traveling along the Eastern side of the peninsula. Our last visit of the day are Boulders beach African Penguin colony and Kirstenbosch botanical garden.

Camps Bay
We will travel along the Atlantic seaboard, driving between the mountains and the ocean our first photo stop will be at Maiden's Cove beautiful scenic lookout point nestled between Clifton's beaches and the prestigious suburb of Camps Bay in Cape Town.

The second stop of the day Hout Bay harbor perched on the edge of the ocean. You will have the option of taking an exciting 40 minute boat cruise boat to a seal colony where you can view thousands of wild Cape Fur Seals in their natural habitat alternatively enjoying a walk along the quay with yachts and fishing boats dotting here and there.

Chapman's Peak Drive
Gateway between Hout Bay and the south peninsula & Cape Point route Chapman's Peak drive affectionately known as Chappies is a must stop to photograph and Chapman's lookout point is where we stop, revealing breathtaking views in both directions.

Cape Point Nature Reserve
Once entering Cape Point Nature Reserve, reserve we will drive leisurely to the tip of the Nature Reserve on the way see the Dias and DA Gama monuments. You may encounter some baboons and other wildlife such as Bontebok, Cape Eland, Cape Mountain Zebra and with over 250 species of birdlife we must keep our eyes open.

Once at Cape Point enough time will be allowed to hike up to the top to see the Cape Point lighthouse or take the funicular, before joining the optional hike from Cape Point to the Cape of Good Hope.

Boulders Beach Penguin Colony
Driving out of the Cape Point Nature Reserve our next stop situated along the False Bay coastline is the famous Boulders Penguins Colony near Simon's Town. The place gets its name from the huge and ancient granite boulders along the coast. This picturesque area is home to a colony of some 3000 delightful African Penguins. A boardwalk runs from Foxy Beach to Boulders Beach, where you can get down on the sand and mingle with the penguins but don't be tempted to pet them they have sharp beaks that can cause serious injuries.

Simon's Town
After our visit at Boulders beach and the African Penguin colony our drive back to Cape Town take us through the picturesque coastal naval town of Simon's Town located on the eastern side of the Cape Peninsula for a coffee stop time permitting.

After this morning visiting of the Hout Bay fishing village on the West side of the Peninsula, our afternoon drive take us through the Kalk Bay fishing village situated on the East side of the peninsula along False Bay. Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden
The last visit of the day is The world renowned Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden a haven of peace setting against the eastern slopes of Table Mountain. Walk above the treetops on the Centenary Tree Canopy Walkway also known as the "Boomslang" and see South Africa's national flower the King Protea. As the estate covers 528 hectares we make sure that you have enough time in your hand to see the garden's highlights.
