Overview

Colourful”, “Vibrant”, “Busy”, “Welcoming”…. just some of the adjectives that describe township life! Join us as we explore the daily lives and culture of the Xhosa people living in townships. In Langa, the streets are the lifeblood of our community. It is in the streets that our kids play soccer, where we trade, walk and talk, where boys and the girls meet, where we show off our new clothes and our new cars. What To Expect

Cape Town
Townships were created as dormitory-styled, racially divided suburbs for black South Africans during, and even before apartheid (political system in South Africa based on the National Party policy of racial segregation). This will most probably be the tour that you remember most vividly, long after you the shores of South Africa. It is all about the people. To truly experience the warmth, friendliness and humanity of township residents, you have to walk its streets. Hear the children at play, smell the sidewalk barbecues, taste locally brewed beer, learn to say “Molo” and experience what is meant by “Ubuntu
