At 9:00 am we set sail to the Robben Island Museum. The entire tour takes 3.5 to 4-hours including the boat trip transfers. Upon arrival at the island, disembark at Murray’s Bay Harbour and take a brief walk to the bus that will transport you around the island. Please note that Kabura Travel & Tours' tour guide/driver will not be accompanying guests on the boat or at the island as there will be a local site guide conducting the tour. The tour includes a viewing of Nelson Mandela’s prison cell and an opportunity to take the Long March to Freedom in the historical footsteps of Nelson Mandela.

We travel to a township called Gugulethu, known to the locals as 'Gugs'. Gugulethu comes from Xhosa name ‘igugu lethu’ meaning 'our pride'. It was established in 1960 because Langa was overcrowded. Here we will stop at Mzoli's Place for an optional traditional BBQ lunch surrounded by locals if they are around. Your tour guide/driver will walk with you and assist you in placing your order and show you to a table. (Please note that lunch is for your own account and is optional.)
