Overview

A 5hr experience for those that want to explore beyond the colourful houses and discover a different side to this 300yr old community. Guided by locals, guests get a deeper insight into Bo-Kaap’s food, history, people & culture.

This tour covers more of Bo-Kaap’s spacial landscape in order to minimise impact to popular sites in a controlled and safe environment.Highlights are a visit to the oldest Mosque, a unique cultural exhibition, a Samoosa-making Class, and the Noongun Naval Base where the world’s oldest cannons are still in daily use. This is topped off with a 3 course authentic Cape Malay lunch served in a secret location set to impress.

This experience is 80% outdoor with a light fitness level required. We will walk from site to site with stops in-between.
